FINANCIAL SUPPORT IS COMMONPLACE

Pension providers and IFAs offer lots of guidance to help people understand the financial side of their retirement.

Although far from easy at least the financial guidance and support is out there once you have time and energy to get your head into it – and most have to get into it at some point.

THE SOFT STUFF IS THE HARD STUFF

But few people consider the impact on them of walking away from a career, an identity and routine that may have defined them for most of their working life.

In fact, many people find themselves feeling lost when they no longer have to go to work every day.

Research shows the number one thing they struggle with is a loss of purpose and a loss of identity.

As a result, they find it hard to bring vitality, energy and alignment to help them thrive in this new chapter of their lives.

HOWEVER

We use the word ‘retirement‘ reluctantly. The coaching we do with individuals often does not feel like a ‘wind-down’ or the end of their working lives.

Many people we work with use the transition to re-energise, work more flexibly or find new hobbies or interests; and are far from slowing down.
